The Joy of Painting®

We are so excited to add Bob Ross instructed oil paintings at the Bodega.  We are constantly trying to provide new art experiences for the everyday person, and who better than Bob Ross to provide us with that very thing. Art for Everyone.

Our new offerings will allow you to create, in one sitting, a beautiful oil painting that you will be shocked and amazed you were able to create.  We are using the signature Bob Ross Wet on Wet techniques®, that can only be taught by a Bob Ross CRI instructor,  and the classes will give you a step by step roadmap to create beautiful landscape paintings of your very own.  We look forward to seeing you at our next Bob Ross oil painting class.

Meet your instructor Kaitlyn!

As an owner at the Bodega, Kaitlyn strives to expand her talents as well as add to our customer offerings.  In addition to a BA in Fine Arts, Kaitlyn decided to take a 3 week intensive training course to learn the very specific Wet on Wet technique® that is the Bob Ross method of painting with oil paints.  She has fallen in love with the painting style and technique and her love of this process comes out in the classes and paintings.

Kaitlyn received her (CRI) Certified Ross Instructor in March 2023 while working under Nic Hankins in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

What is Wet-On-Wet technique®?

The wet-on-wet technique in oil painting, known as “alla prima” is where you apply a new layer of oil paint, on top of a still-wet layer rather than waiting for a layer to dry before applying the next. This method allows you to complete a whole painting very quickly – which is a big part of the appeal to people watching Bob’s shows.
