Fused Glass Spoon Rest @ The Art Bodega

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the art of creating a stunning fused glass spoon rest! Fused glass art combines the beauty of glass with the creativity of sculpture, resulting in unique and vibrant pieces.  You get to choose exactly what you want your spoon rest to look like!  Guided by our expert instructor, you will createw a beautiful piece, even if you have never worked with glass before. Our art teachers are awesome and we make it as easy as we can! Your project will be ready for pick up in approximately 2 weeks.

Welcome to the world of fused glass art! In this class at the Bodega, you’ll learn the fascinating technique of creating beautiful fused glass pieces. Fused glass involves melting different pieces of colored glass together to create unique and stunning designs. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience with glass art, this class will provide you with the knowledge and skills to create your own fused glass masterpieces.

Course Outline:

• – Understanding the different types of glass used in fusing
  – Safety precautions and equipment introduction
• – Practice cutting and shaping glass pieces
  – Creating basic shapes and forms for fused glass art\
• – Design principles for creating visually appealing compositions
  – Exploring different design styles and themes
• – Adding texture and dimension to fused glass pieces
  – Introduction to various embellishment techniques, such as glass frits, powders, and decals

Class Requirements:

• – No prior experience necessary, suitable for beginners and intermediate-level artists
  – All materials and tools will be provided
  – A willingness to experiment, explore, and have fun with fused glass art

We promise a funtastic time at our studio with a full bar available for our over 21 artists.  We have juices, sodas,  water and snacks available for a fee as well.

Rescheduling/Cancellation Policy: If you are no longer able to attend your reserved time-slot, a written request must be submitted via email to help@theartbodega.com In order to receive a class credit voucher, the request must be submitted in advance. Requests made within less than 48 hours prior to the class it will not be honored.
