Wheel Throwing For Kids Class @ The Art Bodega

Discover the world of pottery and watch your child’s creativity spin into action! Our wheel throwing for kids class is a fantastic opportunity for young artists to explore the art of ceramics in a fun and hands on way. Enroll your young potter today and let the pottery journey begin! It is fun, and a little dirty so wear your grubby clothes and grab a friend for the most fun you have had lately on a weekend! This class is for children ages 8 and up.
In this wheel throwing class, learn the basics of working with clay on the wheel. You will learn the proper techniques and methods of keeping the clay piece centered and balanced as well as how to pull the clay up into a cylinder or bowl shape. No experience is needed and you will be amazed at what you can learn during this class. This class isn’t just about art, it’s an opportunity for children to enhance their fine motor skills, patience, and creativity.
You may create as many pieces as desired in the time of the class. Included in the price of the class is 1 piece of your choosing to be glazed and fired. If you would like to choose more than 1 piece to be glazed and fired there is an additional charge of $15 per extra piece. Pieces you choose to keep will be fired and ready for you to pick up in 3 weeks. You will be given a pick up sheet at the time of the class.

If there are fewer than 3 registrants by 24 hours prior to the scheduled class time we have the right to cancel the event and offer the registrants either a class credit to be used on a future event or the materials and project instructions will be offered as a to go kit if applicable.
Rescheduling/Cancellation Policy: If you are no longer able to attend your reserved time-slot, a written request must be submitted via email to help@theartbodega.com In order to receive a class credit voucher, the request must be submitted in advance. Requests made within less than 48 hours prior to the class it will not be honored.
